Purpose: Promote and provide means for the professional development of the Emergency Medical Services Educator.

Status: Active

Objectives:

1. Provide opportunities to increase the knowledge of the EMS Educator in the field of Emergency Medical Services.

2. Provide opportunities for increased knowledge in EMS education.

3. Provide opportunities to increase knowledge related to administration of EMS programs.

4. Maintain open channels of communication with MDCH regarding all EMS issues.

5. Review, facilitate, or otherwise support educational projects.

6. Collaborate with the Technical Committee to facilitate provision of education materials via the web page and other means.

Work Group Discussion Forum:

Each committee has been assigned an area in the SMEMSIC discussion forums to respond to member questions and requests. This is a general discussion area for the committee and we encourage you to post comments or questions in the committee work area. The committee chairperson or others working with the committee will respond to your questions and comments. Committee members may also conduct workgroup discussions in this area relating to their committee work. Please click on the link below to visits this committees work forum. • Forthcoming 2 nd Scope of Practice position paper.
• Nurse to EMT/Paramedic curriculum development.
• Vet EMS.
